Job SummaryThe Unit (Staff) Educator collaborates with the Team Lead Planner and the Center of Learning and Professional Development team, nursing managers and others to provide education to the Baptist Health division of nursing. The educator teaches and develops course education in select Center of Learning & Professional Development courses, updates and evaluates courses and educational materials using evidence‑based practice, and functions as a Unit (staff) Educator for specialty areas.
Qualifications- Graduate of an accredited NLN school of nursing.
- Bachelor’s in Nursing degree preferred.
- Certification in staff development or a similar credential preferred.
- Working knowledge of regulatory guidelines, evidence‑based practice, core measures, performance improvement processes, trends in clinical nursing practice, and The Joint Commission regulations.
- At least two years of experience in an education specialty field.
- Must possess a current ASBN license or a license in the state of primary residence if the state is a Nurse Licensure Compact state.
- Prefer experience in teaching, computer use, audiovisual equipment, and fundamental clinical nursing.
- Good communication skills and professionalism required.
Provide education and training to nursing staff, develop and evaluate educational materials, update courses using evidence‑based practice, and serve as the primary educator for designated specialty areas. Collaborate with nursing managers and the Center of Learning and Professional Development team to ensure curriculum alignment with regulatory guidelines and clinical best practices.
CompensationThis job will be authorized 80.00 hours bi‑weekly.
