Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at UAMS Family Medical Center

We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at UAMS Family Medical Center in El Dorado, AR! Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School, GED or formal educational equivalent.
  • Current and valid LPN license by the State of Arkansas and a Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • One (1) year of clinical nursing experience or will consider a new grad with a current license and one year of previous medical experience (MA, PCT, CNA).
  • Current BLS certification or must successfully obtain certification within the first 30 days of employment.
  • Must have strong organizational skills and computer knowledge.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Immunization experience.
  • CPR certification.
  • Ambulatory experience.
  • EPIC experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong clinical expertise and technique.
  • Working knowledge of data processing equipment, basic medical terminology, and applications.
  • Attention to communication, oral, written, and persuasive.
  • Must be able to build collaborative relationships.
  • Possess personal credibility.
  • Ability to make independent judgments that have highly significant impacts on the organization.
  • Ability to provide motivational support to an area of responsibility.
  • Strong customer service orientation, patient advocacy, and patient education skills.
  • Must have strong organizational skills and computer knowledge.
  • Intermediate computer skills.
  • Professional and courteous telephone etiquette.
  • General knowledge of office machines, including printers, fax machines, etc.
