Electrical & Instrumentation Technician

Responsibilities

• Installation and calibration of instruments
• Installation and troubleshooting of electrical equipment
• Interpret P&IDs and wiring diagrams
• Read and examine engineering drawings
• Perform predictive and preventive maintenance including function checks of control loops.
• Install and maintain plant lighting infrastructure
• Replace and align electric motors
• Installation and maintenance of Safety Instrumented Systems
• Knowledge of National Electric Code and Lanxess procedures to ensure right-first-time installation and repairs
• Recommend process improvements to increase safety, reduce environmental issues, and increase equipment OEE

• Technical certificate, associate degree, or 3-5 years experience
• 3-5 years of experience in a similar role
• Proficient in English language
• Basic math skills
• Mechanical ability
