What you’ll do...Role summary:
The Senior Technician, Facility Services, HVAC/Refrigeration, leads the installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial and industrial HVAC/R systems, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards. This role involves diagnosing complex mechanical and electrical issues, managing preventive maintenance programs, and supervising field teams to optimize system performance. The position requires coordinating service calls, maintaining parts inventory, and supporting business-critical operations, including on-call duties.
The Senior Technician also mentors team members, delivers technical training, and collaborates across functions to enhance processes and implement innovative solutions that support organizational goals.
About the team:
The General Facilities Maintenance team ensures store environments remain safe, functional, and efficient through preventive maintenance and timely repairs. This team applies expertise in HVAC repair and maintenance while adhering to EPA and OSHA standards. Members collaborate to diagnose issues, perform repairs, and manage maintenance schedules, supporting operational excellence. Focused on compliance and continuous improvement, the team plays a key role in maintaining reliable facilities that uphold business objectives and enhance customer satisfaction.

- Oversee installation, commissioning, and maintenance of HVAC/R systems, including ductwork, control panels, and refrigeration units.
- Lead diagnostics and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues across commercial and industrial equipment.
- Implement and monitor preventive maintenance programs to optimize equipment performance and reduce downtime.
- Manage refrigerant handling, ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, and HVAC/R codes.
- Coordinate and mentor field teams, providing hands‑on training and evaluating skill development.
- Maintain parts inventory, vendor relationships, and service schedules to meet business priorities.
- Participate in on‑call rotations to support critical operational needs outside regular hours.
- Extensive experience in installation, commissioning, and maintenance of HVAC/R systems, including commercial and industrial refrigeration units.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant systems.
- Proven ability to lead and mentor field technicians, providing hands‑on training and performance feedback.
- Knowledge of OSHA standards, EPA refrigerant handling protocols, and compliance with federal, state, and local HVAC/R codes.
- Proficiency in managing parts inventory, vendor relationships, and coordinating service workloads to meet business priorities.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to support cross‑functional teams and continuous process improvements.
