Job Summary

Responsible for the safe operation of a commercial vehicle to deliver commercial products as required. Adhere to all DOT regulations and safety protocols.

Education & Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED (Required)
  • Two (2) or more years experience in a related field (Required)
  • In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • No licensure or certification required.
Job Requirements
  • Maintain a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
  • Wear required PPE.
  • Pass all DOT and Motor Carrier Safety requirements.
  • Lifting ability up to 50 pounds.
  • Work/drive in varied weather conditions.
  • Long periods of sitting.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and climb into and out of the truck cab.
  • Able to climb 50 steps with a 25-pound load.
  • Pass job‑specific work steps.
  • Receive delivery schedule from dispatcher; organize route and prepare for delivery.
  • Perform pre‑delivery trip check on tank truck; fuel; verify general operating requirements; ensure all equipment available and in good condition.
  • Drive tank truck & trailer or tractor/trailer to customer’s location; connect hose, open valves, read gauges; record amounts delivered; leave delivery ticket receipt with customer.
  • Check truck for necessary repairs.
  • Maintain good customer contact skills; handle customer questions or schedule requests.
  • Call customers before loading/leaving load rack to confirm receipt.
  • Answer inquiries appropriately and/or refer customers to proper company source.
  • Maintain assigned work areas, tank truck vehicle, and equipment clean and orderly; perform housekeeping chores as required.
  • Follow and adhere to all safety rules and operating procedures for facilities, loading rack, and customer premises.
  • Follow traffic laws and DOT regulations.
