Shipping Clerk

Overview

Supports the Shipping area through accurate and timely scheduling of incoming/outgoing shipments and records all transactions according to the methods assigned for the position.

• Schedule incoming and outgoing shipments accurately and timely; record all transactions according to the methods assigned for the position.
• Manage shipping for 100 to 150 orders per week; handle all domestic shipments; ensure appropriate shipping documentation requirements are in place for domestic shipments.
• Contact customers or their representatives to provide information on all necessary components of orders to ensure orders are on time.
• Coordinate tasks from Planners and CSRs and distribute work instructions to appropriate team members for completion.
• Adhere to Nexans Amer Cable’s Safety Standards and Safe Work Practices.
• Follow Nexans Code of Ethics and Business Conduct Standards.
• Maintain daily shipping requirements to ensure on-time shipments.
• Ensure that all paperwork needed to complete shipments and contacts for carrier pickup have been accurately documented and all necessary parties informed.
• Work with other team members to keep track of products for orders to ensure on-time shipping.

• High School Diploma or GED
• Computer skills/Microsoft Office software skills
• Previous experience in shipping/receiving preferred
