Job Duties
Butler Community College is seeking a part-time instructor to teach Construction Technology courses at the Andover Campus location. Construction Technology courses will be focused in one or more construction subject areas:
Craft Fundamentals, Intro. to Craft Skills, Intro. to Carpentry, Floors and Stairs, Ceiling, Walls and Building Systems, Roofing and Exteriors, Cabinet Making and Installation, Intro. to Electrical, Intro. to Masonry, Intro. to HVAC & Plumbing, and/or Construction Management.

Qualifications

Required knowledge and skills

* Ensures appropriate notification to supervisor for absences, and ensures that work is covered.
* Completes assigned work; meets deadlines without reminders/follow-up from supervisor or others.
* Perform work conscientiously with a high degree of accuracy.
* Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
* Ability to use a computer and software applications.
* Ability to meet deadlines.
Required experience
* Strong knowledge of construction industry standards and processes
* Strong knowledge of tools and equipment used within the construction industry
Required educational background
Associate degree in construction technology, carpentry or related field, OR at least 5 years (10,000 hours) minimum experience without an associate degree.
