Quality Engineering, Production Manager

As Production & Quality Coordinator, you are responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing daily production activities across assembly sites in the United States and Canada, ensuring efficient production flow, high quality standards, and on-time delivery of machinery.
You work closely with logistics and suppliers from a quality perspective and play a key role in continuous improvement, operational decision-making, and the successful setup and development of a new production location.
Responsibilities- Production planning: You plan, schedule, and execute daily production activities, including prioritization of work orders and alignment of resources.
- Operational control: You monitor production performance and independently assess, resolve, or escalate operational and shop-floor issues as required.
- Safety & compliance: You ensure compliance with workplace safety, regulatory, warehouse, and assembly standards.
- Logistics coordination: You coordinate production requirements with the logistics team to ensure the timely availability and movement of materials and machinery.
- Continuous improvement: You analyze production processes and implement continuous improvement measures, including Lean methodologies.
- Quality assurance: You ensure adherence to defined quality standards, procedures, and work instructions across all assembly operations.
- Root cause analysis: You conduct root cause analyses and define, implement, and track corrective and preventive actions.
- Supplier quality: You manage supplier quality topics, including performance evaluation, coordination of corrective actions, and participation in audits and inspections.
- Quality interface: You act as the main quality interface between production, suppliers, and management, providing clear reporting and actionable recommendations.
- Education: You hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, quality management, or a related technical field.
- Professional experience: You have experience in production planning, coordination, and/or quality management within a manufacturing environment.
- Quality systems: You possess a solid understanding of quality systems and corrective action processes.
- Analytical skills: You demonstrate strong analytical, organizational, and communication abilities.
- Hands-on mindset: You bring a proactive, hands-on approach and are comfortable engaging directly in operational topics.
- IT systems: You are proficient in Microsoft Office and ideally have experience with ERP or manufacturing systems.
- Team orientation: You work in a team-oriented manner and are motivated to actively support the successful setup of a new location.
