Forklift Operator - FSL

Overview

We are looking for a hard‑working and flexible candidate to join our Team as a Forklift Operator Laborer. You’ll get to work with skilled workers and strong field leadership. Our laborers perform a wide range of physical labor tasks in support of the site.

• Participates in daily safety meetings.
• Participates in Job Safety Analysis.
• Assists skilled workers as assigned, including rigging, tagline duty, spotter duty, and carrying lumber and materials.
• Unloads materials such as boxes, pallets, lumber, posts, bags of cement, and other consumables and distributes them to appropriate locations as identified by a supervisor, project plans, or specifications.
• Assists in preparing layout areas where lifting and handling, storage, and ground‑clearing operations will take place.
• Prepares layout areas for construction by properly measuring, marking, or recording openings or distances.
• Prepares tools and materials for skilled workers.
• Cleans and prepares specific areas of the job site, which may include digging trenches, removing debris and trash, or removing hazardous materials.
• Operates a wide variety of hand and power tools.
• Directs traffic near, in, or around work zones.
• Signals equipment operators to assist with alignment, movement, or adjustment of machinery, equipment, or materials.
• Performs housekeeping of work area and site location.
• Performs other job‑related duties.

• Sufficient written and verbal communication skills.
• Sufficient organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Team‑driven attitude.
• Ability to work with a diverse team.

• High School Diploma preferred.
• At least one year of related crane and rigging field experience preferred.
• At least one year of experience working around heavy equipment preferred.

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
• Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods in potential extreme weather.
• Must be able to frequently climb up and down a ladder for heights up to 20 feet while possibly carrying loads.
• Must be able to enter and exit tight areas for the purpose of rigging loads.
• Must be able to wear all required personal protective equipment.
• Must be able to work beyond normal operating hours as determined by business demands.
