The Journeyman Plumber Technician performs journey‑level work in the installation, maintenance, inspection, modification, remodel and repair of mechanical plumbing equipment and fixtures for water, gas, oil, sewage, fire sprinkler/prevention, and perform related work as required. Assists other departments in Facilities Management when requested by supervisor. Maintains a professional attitude towards all employees, staff and stakeholders.

Qualifications
Required knowledge and skills
- A. Must show pride in craftsmanship.
- B. Ability to do trade related mathematics.
- C. Must be able to accurately follow verbal and written instructions.
- D. Make diagnostic decisions based on education, experience and instrument readiness.
- E. Ability to climb, stoop, bend and work in awkward positions.
- F. Cannot be afraid of heights.
- G. Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
- H. Can work indoors and outdoors.
- I. Ability to use computer word processing, spreadsheets, and email.
- J. Willing to work overtime and weekends in emergencies.
Required experience
- A. Be working licensed journeyman with a minimum of 2 years’ experience.
- B. Documented job related training.
- C. Must possess a valid driver’s license
Required educational background
- A. High School diploma or its equivalent.
- B. Must possess knowledge and experience in various skilled trades.
- C. City Plumbing license preferred.
