Domestic Traffic Coordinator

Responsible for the daily activities associated with Inbound and Outbound shipments; to include all paperwork and communications, and coordinate transportation with the appropriate personnel and procedures.

• Adheres to company policies and presents a professional, positive attitude at all times.
• Prepare bill of ladings and labels for orders to be shipped.
• Notify carriers of pick-up times.
• Process shipped orders for invoicing.
• Create the DSR (daily ship report).
• Send daily load list to Metro.
• Create Daily LTL quotes.
• Notify appropriate parties of special customer shipping and traffic needs.
• Carrier site visits and negotiations.
• Create the DSS (Daily Shipping Schedule).
• Work with responsible departments concerning invoice discrepancies, shipping quotes, lost/delayed shipments, claims etc.
• Coordinate shipping practice and process throughout entire BG warehousing network; BOL’s, Packing Slips etc.
• Coordinate special shipping request with Customer Service, Shipping Supervisor and affected Facility leadership.
• Complete necessary daily, monthly and yearly reports.
• Direct investigations to verify and resolve customer of shipper complaints.
• Work overtime as needed.
• Other duties as needed or assigned.

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum of one (1) year experience in domestic shipping strongly preferred.
• Experience in Microsoft Excel, Access, SMS, and ERP systems strongly preferred.
• DOT HAZMAT Certification, Training in IATA and/or IMDG strongly preferred.
