Dump Truck Driver

Overview

Dump Truck Driver for Southwest Concrete Paving, an established concrete paving company specializing in military airfield construction across the western United States. We emphasize quality and safety on every project, value teamwork, and seek like-minded individuals to join our team. The Class A Truck Driver will transport wet haul concrete from the onsite Batch Plant to the jobsite. Drivers may work day or night shifts, with overtime and weekend work.

This position is local to Arizona but 100% Travel
.

• Haul Wet Haul Concrete using an End Dump
• Conduct daily pre-trip inspection of truck equipment and supplies (tires, lights, brakes, fuel, oil)
• Take pictures of questionable machine damage and report immediately
• Ensure all items transported are on the manifest, accurate and error-free
• Use basic mechanical skills to perform minor maintenance on equipment as required
• Comply with all DOT, state, and local traffic laws, rules and regulations and safely operate all equipment
• Safety, Safety, Safety — comply with all DOT and company safety policies, procedures, and standards
• Operate other heavy equipment and perform other construction-related duties as required
• Other duties as assigned

• Must be at least 21 years old
• Ability to pass a full background check required for military base site access
• Valid, Unrestricted Class B CDL
• Valid DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
• Acceptable MVR in accordance with Company Vehicle Program Policy

• Basic computer skills required (email, smartphone, Excel)
• Proficient in operating manual (stick shift) transmissions, as all available equipment is manual
• Experience with hauling wet haul concrete preferred

Davis Bacon Rates on applicable projects.
