GENERAL SUMMARYConduct financial analysis to assess credit worthiness while following established bank underwriting policies and procedures for capital call / subscription secured and related commercial credit requests as well as other credit opportunities, assist in the maintenance and monitoring of existing credits in the portfolio, responsible for certain administrative duties including reporting.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Reviews existing and new loan exposures, proposed extensions of credit and financial information; evaluates credit structure and terms; determines sources and uses of funds; analyzes industry data, competitive factors, historical performance, projected results, risks, and mitigating factors.
- Reviews and evaluates collateral periodically to minimize credit exposure.
- With guidance and supervision authors credit approval analysis report.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge on all Bank lending policies and regulations.
- Confers with the appropriate Bank personnel regarding lending requirements and regulations.
- Supports lending management team by monitoring performance of borrowers, identifying problem credits, and taking a proactive approach toward resolution.
- Reviews risk grading on an ongoing basis to identify potential credit issues.
- Escalates potential credit issues to Team Manager, Division Manager and Account Officer.
- Education:
College degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field preferred with some level of accounting coursework. - Experience:
Knowledge of credit, accounting, credit procedures and financial statement analysis. 1-2 years of corporate commercial lending and / or banking experience preferred but not required. A good knowledge of accounting, lending regulations and credit practices are a plus but not required. - Skills/Ability:
Organizational and analytical skills and strong verbal and written communication skills to present clear and precise recommendations based upon analysis of a loan structure and request. Ability to think intuitively and work independently and in teams and interact effectively with most levels of Bank personnel and outside contacts. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and financial spreading program.
DETAILS
$35.43 – $39.81 / hour
Pay determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
This position may be eligible for a discretionary bonus.
