Job Description

Salary: $35 - $50 per hour
Machine Shop Manager (2nd Shift) Job DetailsKey Responsibilities and Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of machine operator personnel on 2nd shift
- Program, set up, and troubleshoot CNC fabrication equipment as needed
- Manage workflow to keep production on schedule and meet delivery deadlines
- Train and mentor team members on equipment operation, safety protocols, and quality procedures
- Monitor tool wear, maintenance schedules, and raw material inventory
- Collaborate with engineering, welding, and assembly departments to maintain smooth production flow
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across quality, efficiency, and safety
- 7+ years of experience in machining
- 3+ years in a lead or supervisory role within a machine shop or metal fabrication environment
- Strong understanding of CNC programming, machine setup, and fabrication processes
- Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and engineering specifications
- Demonstrated ability to lead, train, and hold a team accountable in a fast‑paced production setting
- Solid problem‑solving and organizational skills with a strong commitment to safety and precision
