Under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse, performs individually assigned care activities for the chronically ill and technologically dependent residents based on established resident care policies and procedures. Participates in resident care as an active member of the healthcare delivery team. Specific areas of responsibility include monitoring of resident vital signs, providing resident hygiene and comfort measures, assisting with medical procedures and fulfilling nutritional and grooming needs.
Provides general direct nursing care to assigned residents.

Registered Nurse, Licensed Vocational Nurse, Clinical Manager
- Current California Certified Nursing Assistant Certification
- Current BCLS certification
- No prior C.N.A. Experience required. New grads welcome!
- Knowledge of procedures and techniques involved in administering simple treatments and providing related bedside patient care services, as permitted by state regulation.
- Knowledge of basic medical asepsis and standard precautions.
- Willing to work rotating shifts and different units.
- Ability to contribute to a patient-centered environment
Skills:
- Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manual.
- Must be easily understood through verbal communication in the English language.
Skills:
- Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Successful completion of a state approved certified nursing assistant program.
- A minimum of a high school education or high school equivalency diploma is preferred.
- Employee must be able to read, write, speak and understand English to ensure the safety and wellbeing of patients and visitors.
- Must provide verification of TST (tuberculin skin test) as required by state law and company policy.
- Basic knowledge of computer use or willingness to learn.
- Must attend a minimum of 12 hours continuing education programs to maintain certification.
- Assists patient with or performs Activities of Daily Living (ADL).
- Obtains and records Vital Signs and weights per policy.
- Assists patients with ambulation and transfers.
- Positions patients in correct body alignment in and out of bed.
- Applies adaptive equipment as ordered.
- Cares for personal belongings.
- Assists physician and/or licensed nurse with treatments and procedures as needed.
