Director of Nursing (DON) - El Monte, California Job Summary
The Director of Nursing (DON) is a leadership role responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality and cost-effective healthcare services at Rosemead Healthcare Center, a 24-hour rehabilitation and skilled nursing facility located in El Monte, California. As a key member of our leadership team, the DON will be responsible for the overall operations, integration, coordination, and direction of nursing and patient care services within the facility.

- Provides administrative leadership to the Nursing Department, including budget planning, staffing, and performance evaluations
- Oversees the development and implementation of nursing policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations
- Fosters a culture of safety and quality improvement, promoting a patient-centered approach to care
- Collaborates with the medical staff and other departments to provide timely and effective care to patients
- Ensures accurate and timely completion of clinical documentation and reporting requirements
- Participates in quality improvement initiatives and conducts regular rounds to observe patient care and ensure compliance with policies and procedures
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, college or university with a current registered nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing
- A minimum of five years full-time or equivalent clinical experience with at least two years' experience in nursing supervision in the long-term care setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to teach and mentor staff
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the spoken English language
Knowledge of computer use and basic computer skills - Ability to create a patient-centered environment and promote a culture of safety and quality improvement
