The School Registered Nurse oversees the nursing process and delivery of care within a school setting. The RN plays a vital role in promoting the physical, mental, and emotional health of students by responding to medical needs, managing chronic health conditions, and collaborating with families, school staff, and healthcare providers.

• Provide and coordinate healthcare services for students

• Assess and respond to student health concerns and medical emergencies

• Manage student medications and chronic health conditions

• Promote health education and wellness initiatives

• Maintain accurate health records and documentation

• Collaborate with parents, educators, and healthcare professionals

• Ensure compliance with school, state, and federal healthcare regulations

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of California

• Bachelor's Degree preferred

• School Nurse Certification, if required by state or contract

• One year of school nursing, public health, or pediatric experience preferred

• Current CPR certification, if applicable

• TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray, if applicable

• Current health certificate, per contract or state requirements

• Compliance with all federal, state, and local requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
