Overview

Our Security Officers work with an amazing team at Longo Toyota, the #1 Toyota dealership. We are looking for a Full‑Time Security Officer to protect our 50+ acre campus. The ideal candidate possesses a high level of integrity, professionalism, and honesty. Flexibility in schedule is required, including the overnight shift of 10pm-6am

The Security Courtesy Representative’s pay scale includes a base hourly rate between $19.00 and $20.00, based on experience. This position is 100% on site at Longo Toyota in El Monte, CA.

• Building and establishing relationships with employees, guests, and other security staff
• Patrolling the entire dealership to prevent and detect signs of intrusion
• Securing doors, windows, and gates
• Answering alarms and investigating disturbances
• Monitoring and authorizing entrance and departure of employees and guests
• Writing reports on accidents, incidents, suspicious activity, safety and fire hazards, and other security‑related situations
• Providing any needed assistance to guests and employees
• Warning and communicating any rule infractions or violations, and obtaining assistance to apprehend or evict violators from premises
• Performing other specific administrative functions as directed by management
• Maintaining high ethical standards in all actions
• Presenting a professional appearance at all times

• Ability to provide superior customer service to staff, guests, and the public
• High school diploma or equivalent
• California State Guard Card (preferred but not required)
• Ability to communicate information in writing and to read/understand English language content
• Good judgment in challenging situations
• Professional communication skills on the phone, internet, and in person; and standard office equipment usage
• Valid California Driver’s License with an acceptable and safe driving record

• Frequent standing, walking, sitting, using hands to finger, handle, or feel, and talking or hearing
• Work in all weather conditions
• Perform physical activities requiring considerable use of arms and legs
• Stand for long periods of time
• Exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects and use hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, bending, reaching, and squatting
