Field Ops Supervisor

The Field Ops Supervisor is knowledgeable of yard and transportation operations and enjoys leading a team. This position is responsible for supervising operation functions and drivers at various branch locations within the LA Market, but will sit out of El Monte. The schedule for this position is Friday through Monday starting at 5am.

Essential functions include managing and coordinating all activities for the yard, working with the Operations Coordinator & Routers to coordinate routes, pick-ups, and deliveries, monitoring all service levels and deliveries, analyzing and reporting on operational activities, working directly with other departments to ensure excellent communication, maintaining proper staffing levels, assisting Operations Manager with coordinating logistics, reviewing all paperwork from drivers, operating a variety of company vehicles, and performing other duties as assigned.

Supervisory responsibilities are included in this position.

Qualifications include a minimum 2 year/associates degree or equivalent combination of education and experience, minimum of 2 years experience in a related field and/or training, minimum of 2 years proven leadership experience, customer service, team building, organization, communications, decision making and problem solving, and a valid driver license.

Physical requirements include sitting while driving and standing while servicing products, use of hands and fingers, repeating movements, details of objects at various distances, speaking clearly, understanding speech, hearing sounds, walking up to 30 minutes at a time, entering and exiting equipment, lifting up to 40lbs from your waist to your shoulders, lifting 30lbs from the floor to your head, crouching and squatting, pushing and pulling horizontally, sitting while answering phones or replying to emails, repeating movements when entering data at the computer, seeing details of objects less than a few feet away, focusing on one source of sound, seeing differences between colors, shades and brightness.

Salary range is $88,000.00 – $91,700.00 / year. Pay transparency statement and EEO statement are included.
