You Will Be Doing
As the Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting, you will lead and develop a team responsible for key accounting functions that support the Company's financial reporting and close processes. This role provides leadership, oversight, and technical accounting expertise to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, operational excellence, and continuous process improvement. You will partner closely with business leaders across Finance, Operations, Sales, IT, and Shared Services to support strategic initiatives and drive business results.
- Lead and oversee revenue, inventory, payroll, and sales commission accounting activities.
- Manage inventory accounting processes, including reserve calculations, freight and overhead capitalization, inventory variance analysis, and reconciliations between warehouse systems and the general ledger.
- Oversee month-end and quarter-end close activities, including the preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations, and related analyses.
- Perform financial and operational variance analyses, identifying key trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Support the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
- Partner with internal and external auditors by coordinating requests, providing supporting documentation, and addressing accounting-related inquiries.
- Research emerging accounting standards and pronouncements and lead the implementation of related accounting policies, procedures, and process changes.
- Collaborate with FP&A, Operations, Sales, IT, and Shared Corporate Services on cross-functional projects, system enhancements, and process improvement initiatives.
- Provide accounting guidance and financial support to internal stakeholders across the organization.
- Develop, coach, and mentor accounting team members while fostering a collaborative, high-performing team environment.
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and corporate accounting practices. Proficiency with accounting and reporting systems, including Oracle Business Intelligence and One Stream. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, with proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information. Demonstrated ability to build relationships and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to accuracy. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Proven leadership skills with experience developing and mentoring team members.
Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field. 8+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience. 5+ years of people leadership experience. 3+ years of inventory and/or cost accounting experience. Experience supporting month-end close, financial reporting, and audit activities. Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
Preferred QualificationsActive Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license. Public accounting experience and/or experience working for a publicly traded company. Experience with large ERP systems and financial consolidation tools.
