Department Of Psychiatry Administrative Director
Accountable for the operational success of the Department of Psychiatry in the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine (PLFSOM). Provide complex and detailed administrative oversight of the Department financial and operational performance with regard to clinical and technical revenues, state appropriations, grants and contract income, and designated funds and gifts. Additionally, this position provides professional-level administrative support for the Department Chair and faculty.
Employees in this position are responsible for managing the day-to-day administrative operations of a clinical department. Persons in this position must exercise a high degree of initiative and independent judgment and should have a general knowledge of Health Sciences Center policies and procedures as they relate to department financial management and personnel administration. Provide direct supervision to department staff personnel.
Work is performed under usual office conditions; deadlines, meetings and maybe some travel. Additionally, work requires considerable contact and coordination with HSC administrative officials, administrative personnel of other departments and units, granting agencies, other institutions, and government organizations. Texas Tech Health El Paso (TTEP) is not considering applications from individuals who require sponsorship for an employment visa, including those with H1B visas or those currently on student or postgraduate visas.
Additionally, this position is not eligible for remote or hybrid opportunities. All work is required to be performed onsite at TTEP.
