Tire Technicians/strongare responsible for truck and trailer tires to ensure efficient operation and compliance by performing the following duties./p pstrong Compensation incentives based on performance. /strong/p pstrong
Schedule:
/strong
Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m.
- 5:00 p.m. / strong
Weekends
Required:
/strong(oncall rotating)/p pstrong
Responsibilities:/strong/p ul li Inspects truck/trailer tires for excessive wear, bulges, cuts, and damaged tread./li li Repair tires with minor malfunctions./li li Properly secure vehicle to lift to ensure safe operation./li li Unbolt wheels from vehicles and remove them, using lug wrenches and other hand and power tools./li li Properly dismount and remount tires and wheels securely on the vehicle./li li Repair or replace tires on light, medium, and heavy-duty trucks./li
li Responsible for proper installation of wheels and tires, balancing wheels, and checking for correct fit./li li Maintains all inventories and tire equipment./li li Reassemble tires onto wheels./li li Prepare rims and wheel drums for reassembly by scraping, grinding, or sandblasting./li li Disposes of damaged/old tires in accordance with state regulations./li li Ensures tires are functioning properly and within the Department of Transportation and Occupational Safety and Health Act Compliance./li
li Safely operates all tools and equipment./li li Reports any safety issues immediately to management./li li Keeps shop area neat and clean./li li Assist mechanics and perform other duties as directed./li /ul pstrong
Qualifications:
/strong/p ul liMust be at least 18 years of age./li liMust have a valid drivers license and a clean MVR record./li liMust be a self-starter and be willing to take initiative./li li Willing and able to work without direct supervision./li li2+ years related experience (Preferred)./li /ul pstrong
