Job Description
Pro Sidian seeks a Hazardous Materials Receiving & Issue Specialist for the U.S. Army Sustainment Command Hazardous Material Supply Operations (HSMO) division at Fort Bliss, TX. The position is a full‑time W‑2 role with no overtime pay, located on‑site in the CONUS – Fort Bliss, TX, and supporting hazardous material sustainment operations across the Southwest Region.
Job OverviewProvide services and support as a Hazardous Materials Receiving & Issue Specialist under the Logistics Analyst labor category. Responsibilities include managing hazardous material receipt, storage, tracking, and compliant sustainment logistics, administering GCSS‑Army user roles and permissions, maintaining hazardous material master data, ensuring data integrity, troubleshooting system issues, and supporting reporting and audit requirements to support Army readiness.
Responsibilities and Duties- Receive, inspect, verify, and issue hazardous materials; process same‑day HMID/GCSS‑A entries; validate labeling and compatibility.
- Ensure proper documentation and dual‑signature issue control.
- Administer GCSS‑Army user roles and permissions; manage hazardous material master data (HMID); ensure data integrity and compliance.
- Troubleshoot system issues and support reporting and audit requirements.
- Support disciplined hazardous material receipt, storage, and tracking operations aligned with NAICS 541611.
Location:
South West Region, Fort Bliss, TX (Work Site Address: 1741 Marshall Road, Fort Bliss, TX 79916).
- 3–5 years of supply/warehouse experience; 2+ years Army logistics or GCSS‑Army environment preferred.
- High school diploma required; associate’s degree preferred; GCSS‑Army certification desirable.
- Knowledge of hazardous material regulations, labeling, and safety requirements.

- 3–5 years of supply/warehouse experience; 2+ years Army logistics or GCSS‑Army environment preferred.
Primarily focused on management and financial consulting, acquisition and grants management support, and business program and project management initiatives. Requires inventory processing, barcode scanning, hazardous labeling, and transaction entry discipline.
Competencies Required- Operational accuracy, timeliness, safety awareness, accountability.
- Ensures no zero balances in ASLs through disciplined issue workflow.
- Standard skills: proficiency in project management methodologies, exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, outstanding time‑management and prioritization, adaptability, multitasking, analytical and organizational skills, and strong oral and written communication.
