Senior Construction Inspector (Water/Wastewater)

• Perform oversight of construction personnel on large‑sized assigned area or full project for smaller projects.
• Ensure construction work matches construction plans.
• Identify deficiencies in constructed structures.
• Review contract terms and conditions.
• Ensure construction timelines, costs, and materials comply with contract terms and conditions.
• Provide technical guidance and training to junior staff; review their work.
• Document deficiencies, expected cost overruns, materials issues and other related construction issues or risks within their area of oversight.
• Prepare related reports (e.g., monthly progress reports).
• Maintain daily report of construction activities.
• Communicate construction issues to project leadership; escalates issues to appropriate design staff for resolution.
• Communicate issue resolution to construction staff; close the loop with project leadership when documented issues are resolved.
• Perform other duties as required.

• High School diploma or Vocational Technical degree or equivalent.
• 14 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

• Experience in water/wastewater treatment and conveyance construction.

• Advanced knowledge of arithmetic.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
• Ability to adapt to new technologies and quickly learn new computer, smartphone or related applications and programs.
• Expert knowledge of materials, methods, and equipment used in construction.
• Ability to read, understand, interpret and explain construction plans and drawings, contract provisions, and specifications.

An appropriate and valid driver's license is required.
