Position Summary

AAA General Contractors, LLC is seeking a highly experienced Construction Project Manager to join our team in El Paso, Texas
. This is a full-time, in-person position and is not remote or hybrid
.

The Construction Project Manager will oversee the day-to-day management of multiple multi-million-dollar commercial and federal construction projects from contract award through final completion. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, scheduling, budgeting, contract administration, subcontractor management, client relations, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in full compliance with all contract requirements.

This position is intended for a seasoned construction professional with extensive government contracting experience who can independently manage complex projects with minimal supervision.

Applicants must have demonstrated experience successfully managing multi-million-dollar construction projects as the Project Manager. Applicants without this level of experience will not be considered. Please do not apply if you do not meet these minimum qualifications.

  • Manage all phases of construction projects from preconstruction through final closeout.
  • Oversee the daily management of multiple multi-million-dollar construction projects simultaneously.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, cost reports, and project forecasts.
  • Coordinate project activities with superintendents, quality control managers, safety managers, subcontractors, suppliers, architects, engineers, owners, and government representatives.
  • Review construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and other project documents.
  • Prepare, review, and manage submittals, RFIs, change orders, pay applications, purchase orders, project schedules, and project correspondence.
  • Lead project meetings with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and government representatives.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively resolve issues to maintain project schedule and profitability.
  • Manage project budgets, cost control, procurement, and subcontract administration.
  • Ensure compliance with contract requirements, OSHA regulations, quality control standards, and company policies.
  • Manage subcontractor performance and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Prepare project reports, cost analyses, schedule updates, and executive summaries.
  • Assist with estimating, procurement, and preconstruction planning when needed.
  • Ensure all closeout documentation, warranties, O&M manuals, and final project deliverables are completed accurately and submitted on time.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or another closely related construction discipline.
  • Minimum of 10 years of construction management experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience serving as the Project Manager on federal government construction projects.
  • Must have successfully managed multiple government multi-million-dollar construction projects from award through closeout.
  • Extensive experience managing public sector construction projects at the federal, state, and local government levels is required. Applicants must have successfully managed projects for government agencies such as cities, counties, state agencies, public school districts, universities, the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Department of Defense (DoD), Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC), U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), General Services Administration (GSA), or similar public entities.
  • Strong knowledge of federal construction contracts, scheduling, budgeting, cost control, project documentation, and contract administration.
  • Thorough understanding of construction means and methods, building systems, building codes, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project and/or Primavera P6, Bluebeam, Procore, and other construction management software.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain access to federal facilities and successfully pass required background investigations.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Must reside in or be willing to relocate to the El Paso, Texas area. Occasional travel to project sites may be required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or Registered Architect (RA).
  • OSHA 30-Hour Certification.
  • USACE Construction Quality Management (CQM) Certification.
  • Working knowledge of EM 385-1-1 Safety Requirements.
  • Experience managing occupied healthcare, VA, and military facility renovations.
  • Experience with both Design-Build and Design-Bid-Build delivery methods.
