Job Summary
Project Engineer Position Overview We are seeking a highly motivated Project Engineer to support the successful delivery of large-scale commercial construction projects. The Project Engineer plays a critical role in project administration, cost control, scheduling, procurement, document management, and field coordination. This position serves as a key liaison between project managers, superintendents, owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically proficient, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.

Pay Range
$110k-$125k per year
Qualifications Required- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience supporting large commercial construction projects.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Experience using construction management and scheduling software such as Prolog, Primavera P6, Autodesk products, or similar platforms.
- Prior internship or co-op experience within the construction industry.
- Experience working on large-scale commercial, industrial, healthcare, or institutional projects.
- Prepare and assist with monthly owner pay applications.
- Support project financial tracking, cost control, and labor reporting.
- Participate in monthly project margin and profitability analysis.
- Maintain complete project documentation and records.
- Process Requests for Information (RFIs), submittals, and project correspondence.
- Assist in developing, updating, and maintaining project schedules.
- Track project milestones and progress to ensure schedule adherence.
- Coordinate project logistics, material deliveries, and procurement activities.
- Support production analysis and forecasting efforts.
- Assist field teams with interpreting drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Identify and resolve coordination issues between subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders.
- Support engineering reviews, constructability analyses, and design coordination efforts.
- Assist with BIM (Building Information Modeling) and VDC (Virtual Design & Construction) implementation and interpretation.
- Evaluate, estimate, and process change orders.
- Manage and track project changes, ensuring proper documentation and approval.
- Coordinate communication between owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors regarding project modifications.
- Lead weekly owner, architect, and contractor meetings and document meeting minutes.
- Mentor and support Office Engineers and Jobsite Administrators.
- Foster strong working relationships with internal and external project stakeholders.
- Participate in jobsite safety meetings and safety audits.
- Support implementation of project quality control plans.
- Participate in preparatory meetings, inspections, and follow-up quality reviews.
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Ability to perform moderate physical work, including lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally, 25 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds continuously.
