Construction Safety Supervisor

The Construction Safety Supervisor serves as the primary on-site safety authority for the data center campus and is responsible for administering, coordinating, monitoring, and enforcing project safety requirements. This position supports compliance with NM OSHA, NFPA, and project-specific regulations while promoting a proactive culture of safety throughout all project operations. The Construction Safety Supervisor works closely with the Bosch Project Team, General Contractor representatives, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure all work is performed safely and in accordance with approved safety procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Support the implementation, maintenance, and enforcement of the Site-Specific Safety Plan (SSSP) and update it as project conditions or regulatory requirements change.
  • Provide coaching to the Bosch project personnel team to ensure compliance with established safety policies and procedures.
  • Assist Project Managers and Superintendents in implementing and continuously improving the project safety program.
  • Conduct daily site inspections to identify unsafe conditions, acts, and uncontrolled hazards, as well as identifying positive health and safety acts from members of the team.
  • Document inspection findings, corrective actions, and other follow-up activities.
  • Monitor worksite housekeeping standards and verify that tools, equipment, temporary structures, and protective systems are maintained in safe operating condition.
  • Ensure that all incidents, near misses, property damage incidents, environmental damage, and unsafe acts/conditions are reported within twenty-four (24) hours to the General Contractor representatives and Bosch's corporate EHS team.
  • Support the Project Team to investigate incidents, conduct root cause analysis, develop corrective actions, and monitor the implementation and effectiveness of the corrective actions.
  • Maintain detailed project EHS documentation including incident metrics, inspection reports, toolbox talks, training records, safety meeting minutes, and all other required project safety documentation.
  • Support the Project Team to facilitate the early and safe return to work for any team members who are injured or become ill at work.
  • Monitor subcontractor activities to ensure compliance with project safety requirements.
  • Conduct observations and inspections, address deficiencies, coordinate corrective actions, and document subcontractor safety performance.
  • Participate in subcontractor coordination meetings to communicate safety expectations.
Required Qualifications

The Safety Supervisor shall possess one of the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in Safety, Occupational Health, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field, plus 1 year of construction safety experience
  • 3+ years of relevant construction safety experience and professional safety certification (CSP, CHST, OHST, ASP, or equivalent)
  • 5+ years of dedicated construction safety experience plus current OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification.

Additional requirements include:

  • Current OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety certification prior to mobilization
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years of progressive construction safety experience on commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience with electronic safety management/reporting systems
  • Experience implementing site-specific safety plans, conducting audits, and leading incident investigations
  • Strong leadership experience, including training, mentoring, or supervising field personnel
  • Ability to analyze safety data, track trends, and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Prior experience working with general contractors, subcontractors, and client stakeholders in a fast-paced construction environment

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, climb, walk, sit, push, pull, squat, crawl, and stoop. The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, feel objects, and type on keyboard; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

    The use of power tools will be required to effectively perform this position. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and may be required to work at heights over 1.8m (6 feet)
