The role requires close collaboration with dental office staff, insurance companies, and patients to clarify coverage details and resolve discrepancies.

By accurately confirming insurance details, the Dental Insurance Verificator helps optimize revenue cycle management and enhances patient satisfaction. Ultimately, this position supports the dental practice’s operational efficiency and financial health by minimizing insurance-related issues.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in insurance verification or a related administrative role, preferably within a dental or healthcare setting.
• Strong knowledge of dental insurance plans, terminology, and billing processes.
• Proficiency in using computer systems and insurance verification software.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate degree or certification in medical/dental billing or insurance verification.
• Experience working with multiple dental/medical insurance carriers and familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems, DENTRIX prefered.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Customer service experience in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities:

• Verify patients' dental and medical insurance coverage and benefits prior to appointments.
• Contact insurance providers to confirm eligibility, coverage limits, co-pays, deductibles, and pre-authorization requirements.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of insurance verification activities and patient insurance information.
• Communicate insurance coverage details and any limitations to dental office staff and patients.
• Assist in resolving insurance-related issues or discrepancies to prevent claim denials.
• Collaborate with billing and administrative teams to ensure accurate insurance data is used for claims submission.
• Stay updated on changes in dental insurance policies and procedures.
