Major/Essential Functions
* Provide inpatient and outpatient consultation and management for pediatric rheumatologic conditions
* Participate in the education of medical students and residents
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including but not limited to, pediatric orthopedics, nephrology, infectious disease, dermatology, and physical therapy
* Contribute to community outreach and education regarding pediatric rheumatologic conditions
* Participate in the development of Pediatric Rheumatology clinical protocols, guidelines, and subspecialty expansion efforts
* Ensure compliance with HIPM and billing regulations
* Adhere to institutional and departmental policies and procedures
* Uphold and promote the values-based culture of TTUHSC El Paso
* Serve the academic community through participation in institutional governance, such as committee work and other administrative duties
* Contribute to the community through academically-related public service complementary to the institutional mission
* Engage in advancement of scientific knowledge through research and/or scholarship
* Demonstrate professionalism in accordance with the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine's Declaration of Faculty Professional Responsibility

* Board Certification in Pediatric Rheumatology by the American Board of Pediatrics
* Emerging or established regional or national reputation for the rank of associate professor or higher

* Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited Pediatric Rheumatology fellowship program
