Major/Essential Functions

* Supervises and teaches residents and medical students in classroom and clinical settings

* Delivers pediatric physical medicine and rehabilitation services across inpatient and outpatient settings at a facility affiliated with a Level 1 Trauma Center

* Performs outpatient procedures including injections, ultrasound, and EMG

* Develops rehabilitation protocols at the El Paso Children's Hospital for patients requiring rehabilitation services

* Engages in advancement of scientific knowledge through research and/or scholarship.

* Serves the academic community through participation in institutional governance, such as committee work and other administrative duties

* Contributes to the community through academically-related public service complementary to the institutional mission

* Ensures compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations

* Adheres to institutional and departmental policies and procedures

* Demonstrates professionalism in accordance with the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine's Declaration of Faculty Professional Responsibility

* Upholds and promotes the value-based culture of TTUHSC El Paso

* Emerging or established regional or national reputation for the rank of Associate Professor or highera

Required Qualifications

* M.D. or D.O. degree

* Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation

* Experience in evaluation and management of pediatric patients in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation

* Texas medical licensure, or eligibility for medical licensure in Texas
