Major/Essential Functions

* Provides patient care in the area of vascular surgery in hospital and outpatient settings.

* Instructs and supervises medical students and surgery residents.

* Performs vascular surgical procedures.

* Conducts clinical research and/or produce scholarship related to vascular surgery.

* Provides on-call coverage, as scheduled.

* Serves the academic community through participations in institutional governance, such as committee   work and other administrative duties.

* Contributes to the community through academically related public service complimentary to the institutional mission.

* Ensures compliance and HIPAA and billing regulations.

* Adheres to institutional and departmental policies and procedures.

* Demonstrates professionalism in accordance with the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine's Statement of Faculty Professional Responsibility.

Preferred Qualifications

* Board certification in vascular surgery by the American Board of Surgery.

* Experience or interest in teaching students and residents.

* Emerging or established regional or national reputation for the rank of associate professor higher.

Pay Statement

Required Qualifications

* M.D or D.O. degree.

* Successful completion of ACGME-accredited integrated vascular surgery residency program or successful completion of ACGME-accredited general surgery residency and vascular surgery fellowship programs.

* Texas Medical License, or eligible for licensure in the State of Texas.
