Major/Essential Functions

* Provides inpatient and outpatient general adult neurology clinical services to include epilepsy/clinical neurophysiology services in the assigned neurology outpatient clinic, and provides consultation services in the affiliated hospitals

* Provides direct patient care and consultative service to other medical professionals

* Diagnose and treat adults with neurological conditions, to include interpretation of routine EEGs, ICU and epilepsy video EEG monitoring, intraoperative monitoring, and evoked potentials.

* Supervises resident clinics and participates in the overall teaching program for the teaching and training of residents and medical students, to include the presentation of lectures

* Engages in advancement of scientific knowledge through research and/or scholarship

* Serves the academic community through participation in institutional governance, such as committee work

* Contributes to the community through academically-related public service complementary to the institutional mission

* Ensures compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations and adheres to institutional and departmental policies and procedures

* Demonstrates professionalism in accordance with the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine's Declaration of Faculty Professional Responsibility.

Preferred Qualifications

* Bilingual (Spanish and English)

* Fellowship training in Epilepsy/Clinical Neurophysiology or a combination from an accredited program in the United States

* Board certified in Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology

* Regional or emerging national recognition in the area of specialty for associate professor or higher level

* Certification and/or experience in Epilepsy/Clinical Neurophysiology
