Major/Essential Functions

* Provides pediatric anesthesia patient care, clinical anesthesia, and supervision of CRNAs and other trainees.

* Maintains all applicable licenses, controlled substance registrations ,hospital privileges ,and third payer enrollments in good standing

* Supervises residents, and participates in teaching activities for medical student and/or residents

* Engages in advancement of scientific knowledge through research and/or scholarship

* Serves the academic community through participation in institutional governance, such as committee work

* Contributes to the community through academically-related public service complementary to the institutional mission

* Ensures compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations

* Adheres to institutional and departmental policies and procedures

* Upholds and promotes the values-based culture of TTUHSC EL Paso

* Demonstrates professionalism in accordance with the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine's declarations of Faculty Professional Responsibility

Required Qualifications

* MD or DO degree

* Texas medical license, or eligibility for unrestricted Medical Licensure in the State of Texas

* Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited residency program in Anesthesiology

* Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited fellowship program in Pediatric Anesthesiology or board certified in Pediatric Anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiology
