Position Summary

The Condensed Matter Theory group led by Prof. Cuozzo is seeking a motivated postdoctoral fellow who is interested in condensed matter and quantum device theory including: topological phases of matter, superconductivity, quantum device modeling, quantum materials, moiré materials, and quantum optics. For inquiries, please submit your curriculum vitae and a brief research statement. Candidates should also arrange for two letters of recommendation to be submitted.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of Prof. Cuozzo, the successful candidate will lead a research project investigating electronic transport properties of superconducting materials and devices with applications in topological quantum computing, non-reciprocal electronics, and single-photon detection. Some tasks involve interdisciplinary collaboration with computational or experimental groups.

Duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

* Develop models for quantum materials and devices

* Perform theoretical calculations for quantum materials and devices

* Prepare and provide presentations for professional organizations, governmental entities, and the public; communicate research results through conference presentations, scientific publications, or project reports.

If the successful candidate is interested, they will have the opportunity to participate in proposal writing and mentoring graduate or undergraduate students.

PhD in relevant field

and

Experience:

Experience in one or more of the following areas: (i) topological materials, (ii) superconductivity, (iii) quantum transport, (iv) nanoscale materials, (v) light-matter interactions, or (vi) quantum optics.
