Major/Essential Functions

* Supervise and teach residents and medical students in classroom and clinical settings.

* Work in close conjunction with Orthopaedic department chair and PMR faculty to develop a long-term PM&R division strategic plan.

* Provide patient care in the inpatient and outpatient settings affiliated with a Level 1 Trauma Center.

* Perform outpatient procedures including injections, ultrasound, and EMG.

* Develop rehabilitation protocols at the UMC of El Paso Hospital for patients requiring rehab services.

* Engage in advancement of scientific knowledge through research and/or scholarship.

* Serve the academic community through participations with committee work and other administrative duties.

* Contribute to the community through academically-related public service complementary to the institutional mission.

* Ensure compliance with HIP AA and billing regulations.

* Adhere to institutional and departmental policies and procedures.

* Demonstrate professionalism in accordance with the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine's Declaration of Faculty Professional Responsibility.

* Uphold and promote the value-based culture of TTUHSC El Paso.
