Major/Essential Functions

* Administers neuropsychological testing including, but not limited to, WAIS, WAIC, Trails A & B, WCST, clinical dementia rating, and projective testing, scoring, and evaluation for adult or pediatric psychiatric conditions as competency allows.

* Provides direct patient care by diagnosing and treating the full spectrum of behavioral health conditions within a multidisciplinary setting

* Participates in teaching and training of psychology interns, psychology post-doctoral trainees, residents, fellows, and medical students, including the presentation of lectures

* Engages in advancement of scientific knowledge through research and/or scholarship

* Serves the academic community through participation in institutional governance, such as committee work

* Contributes to the community through academically-related public service complimentary to the institutional mission

* Ensures compliance with HIPM and billing regulations

* Adheres to institutional and departmental policies and procedures

* Demonstrates professionalism in accordance with the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine's Declaration of Faculty Professional Responsibility

* Upholds and promotes the values-based culture of TTUHSC El Paso

* Bilingual (Spanish/English)

* Post-doctoral training in child and adolescent psychology.

* Experience with integration of current technologies in the delivery of care, including Al, software applications, and social media.

* Emerging or established regional or national professional reputation for the rank of Associate Professor or higher

Required Qualifications

* Psy.

D. degree;
Ph.D. degree in psychology; or Ph.D. degree with specialization in social work, health education, counselor education, or marriage and family therapy.

* One of the following:

A) For candidates with a Psy.

D. degree or Ph.D. degree in psychology:

* Successful completion of an internship in psychology accredited by the American Psychological Association

* A minimum of one additional year of postdoctoral training in psychology beyond the internship

* Licensed or eligibility for licensure as a psychologist by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists

B) For candidates with a Ph.D. degree in social work, health education, counselor education, or marriage and family therapy:

* Licensed or eligibility for licensure as a LCSW, LPC, or MFT by the Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council
