Academic Tutor- College Assistance Migrant Program; CAMP

Responsibilities

• Provide tutorial instruction to students to enhance understanding of subject and assist with preparation of course assignments.
• Conduct in-person work on campus (essential function).
• Provide educational assistance in specific disciplines (Math, English, Science, etc.) to improve student understanding and comprehension.
• Track student performance.
• Provide feedback to instructors where applicable.
• Assist in development of lesson plans or course projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• A minimum of 30 college credit hours with an overall 3.0 GPA, or a minimum of 30 college credit hours with 3.0 GPA in the specified area of tutoring.
• Copy of transcript reflecting required education must be submitted.

• This is a security-sensitive position as defined under the Texas Education Code, Section 51.215. Successful applicant will be required to undergo a criminal background check.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
• Must have reliable transportation.
