The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry within the College of Science at The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) invites applications for a non-tenure-track Assistant / Associate Professor of Instruction position in Forensic Science. The Forensic Science Program at UTEP is one of the largest and fastest-growing programs in the region, with two tracks in forensic chemistry and forensic biology.
The successful candidate will be expected to teach and develop undergraduate and/or graduate lecture and laboratory courses in forensic science; engage in student advising and mentorship; contribute to departmental, college, and university service; and support curriculum development, program expansion, and accreditation efforts.
Requirements:
- A Ph.D. (or equivalent) in Forensic Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a closely related field is required by the start date.
- Demonstrated excellence, or strong potential, in teaching. Previous teaching experience in forensic science lecture and laboratory courses is strongly preferred.
- Ability to contribute to the growth and accreditation goals of UTEP's Forensic Science Program.
