Technical Training Consultant – responsible for the implementation and delivery of Learning & Development technical and trade-related training and services in construction, engineering, manufacturing, and renewable energy.
Key Responsibilities- Effectively facilitate electrical apprenticeship, Quick Start, and trade-related training classes.
- Collaborate with the Apprenticeship Team to research, recommend, develop, pilot, and implement new technical/trade training programs.
- Design and develop technical/trade curriculum based on organizational needs.
- Conduct jobsite or on-site coaching and development for employees related to audits or novel work or crisis jobs.
- Develop relationships with operational leaders to facilitate open dialogue and trust.
- Support and provide guidance to the Apprenticeship Coordinator in coordinating apprenticeship programs.
- Work with the L&D team and subject‑matter experts to continually improve content, activities, and delivery.
- Continuously increase knowledge of L&D craft.
- Actively participate in professional and trade-related organizations.
- Demonstrate acceptance of company culture, adherence to company values, and professional standards.
- Demonstrate approachability, collaboration, and effective influence.

Minimum Requirements- Education:
Completion of an apprenticeship program or an Associate or Bachelor’s Degree. - Experience:
Strong technical background and 5 years related experience in electrical, specialty systems, or related trade, plus 1–2 years facilitation experience. - Travel:
Up to 25%. - Work Schedule:
Typical hours 6:00a.m. to 6:00p.m., Monday–Friday; flexibility required to meet business needs.
- Proficient in PC and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proficient in operating audiovisual equipment.
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures in electrical and specialty systems contractor field.
- Knowledge of adult educational principles and theory is preferred.
