Responsibilities

Responsible for providing instruction in accordance with the philosophy and objectives of the College. Adhere to approved course syllabus. Provide students with a course syllabus by the end of the first week of classes, indicating objectives, means of attainment and evaluation methods.

Use teaching methods appropriate to a diverse student population and learning styles. Permit ongoing self‑assessment and offer reasonable opportunities for mastery of objectives.

Submit syllabi and addendums to the Division Office by the first week of class, maintain office hours per institutional guidelines, facilitate student evaluations, and submit evaluations to the designated office.

Participate in faculty orientation, professional development seminars, and activities for professional growth. Support the community college mission. Perform all other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in Medical Assisting or Nursing (transcript required).
  • Three (3) years of work‑related experience exclusive of teaching.
  • Must have one or more of the following:
    • CMA (Certified Medical Assistant)
    • RN (Registered Nurse)
    • LVN (Licensed Vocational Nurse)
    • MD (Medical Doctor)
  • Experience teaching in the discipline.
  • Experience/ability to incorporate technology into the classroom.
  • Experience/ability to teach at the community college level.
Special Conditions

Faculty are hired on a part‑time, semester‑by‑semester basis, contingent upon district needs. EPCC accepts applications year‑round; part‑time faculty may teach day, evening, or weekend classes at various times and locations.

This position is security‑sensitive as defined under Texas Education Code Section 51.215; selected candidates must undergo a criminal background check per college policies.
