Responsibilities
Manage the day‑to‑day operations of the Project HIGHER program, including planning, organizing, and developing goals and procedures, and serving as an advocate with administrators, outside agencies, and others on relevant program matters.
Provide direct supervision to educational coaches assigned to the program, monitor support services utilization, recommend improvements, and provide personnel management direction, including orientation, performance evaluation, professional development, coaching, and counseling.
Schedule and supervise students, track and report their progress, and create and coordinate program orientations and summer college readiness training for participating students. Conduct in‑service training for faculty, staff, and educational coaches.
Establish and maintain a system to monitor and track student participants, educational coach assignments/schedules, program statistics, and related information. Retrieve and compile statistical data, prepare and submit reports, and create program materials such as brochures and handouts.
Collaborate and coordinate with EPCC Center for Students with Disabilities, UTEP, Masters of Rehabilitation Counseling, and the Texas Workforce Commission Vocational Rehabilitation Services in recruiting and selecting participants, and provide reasonable accommodations. Act as a liaison between EPCC, UTEP, VRS, independent school districts, Region 19, faculty, and other college personnel regarding program roles and services to ensure student success.
Perform other duties as assigned. In‑person work on campus is an essential function of this position.
Required QualificationsOut‑of‑town candidates invited for an on‑campus interview will be reimbursed for one‑half of the transportation cost for travel performed within the United States. The College will arrange and pay for up to two nights lodging.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
