The University of Texas at El Paso invites application for a full-time Clinical Assistant Professor position in the Department of Kinesiology in the College of Health Sciences. The position is a non-tenure track, nine-month academic year position with the possibility of summer teaching. The successful candidate will teach students at the undergraduate/graduate level and serve as the department coordinator for student success.
Job responsibilities will include teaching expectations, the development of new community-based internship experiences, agreements with local sites, placement and communication with site mentors, recruitment and advising for students in the masters of Kinesiology program. The anticipated appointment date is Fall 2026.
Requirements:
An earned doctorate degree in Kinesiology or a closely related area. A strong commitment to and potential for teaching excellence, or a record of successful college or university teaching; and potential for, or history of active service participation and/or leadership roles in campus, community, or professional organizations. The successful candidate must be able to work effectively with faculty, staff, and students from diverse ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience and interest in community engagement and internship coordination.
