Training Instructor / Specialist, Learning & Development Specialist, Adult Education
ADP is hiring a Learning Consultant.
The Learning Consultant will provide input to the instructional design team for enhancements and updates to existing training curriculum, test and edit materials, and provide feedback regarding class flow, hands‑on exercises, and knowledge checks. The Consultant will also provide consultative input on client and associate needs, conduct field observations, and participate in side‑by‑side calls and round tables to drive engagement and ensure content remains relevant and effective.
The Consultant is responsible for material delivery for instructor‑led (onsite and virtual) training on the technical features and functional aspects of all solutions to enable the effective use of systems, tools, and processes by learners. The Consultant may conduct new hire orientation and organizational overview sessions and participate in rotational training assignments as required.
The Consultant will thrive with two years of experience in the learning‑development field, able to work independently and on a team to consult and support training design, and manage simultaneous projects with deadlines.
ResponsibilitiesDelivery:
- Deliver functional, technical, and/or soft skills material training to associates, including new hire orientation and rotational associate training, and all product curricula and associated process and soft skill training. Apply adult learning theory to adapt delivery to learning styles, manage group and individual dynamics, respond to participant questions, and elaborate on training content.
- Deliver core orientation and service skills training programs in addition to product training.
Effectiveness:
- Consult with instructional designers on curricula effectiveness, recommend changes to existing classes, and develop new classes to enhance associate performance and client experience.
Functional Knowledge:
- Maintain up‑to‑date proficiency on products and processes used by the Learning‑Performance organization to facilitate training, enroll and track course enrollment, and associate performance.
Consulting:
- Understand associate performance goals and consult associates on best use of tools and processes.
- Consult with clients on how to best utilize products and services to meet business needs.
- Lead learning content development and delivery projects specific to the supported business or organization.
Administrative:
- Perform administrative responsibilities such as Learning Management System tasks, class survey distribution, completion of monthly status reports, and time tracking.
Coach/Mentor:
- Support design, facilitation, and development of the organizational mentorship program, aligning initiatives with learning and development goals.
Monitor:
- Assist in overseeing the training program, identifying best practices, monitoring status of delivery projects, establishing and analyzing metrics, and communicating status to project managers and leadership.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- 2+ years of experience in training, service, implementation, instructional development/consulting, adult learning theory, and/or technical writing/training materials.
- A college degree is preferred but not required; alternate experience may include military experience.
- Experience using eLearning tools such as Synthesia, Captivate, Articulate 360, Tech Smith Camtasia, Tech Smith Snag It, Audacity, and Vyond.
- Experience using a Learning Management System (e.g., Litmos).
- Experience with simple graphic design.
Base salary offers for this position may vary based on factors such as location, skills, and relevant experience. Some positions may include additional compensation in the form of bonus, equity or commissions. Compensation range: USD $47,400.00 - USD $96,300.00 per year.
* Actual compensation will not be less than the applicable minimum wage or minimum exempt salary requirement under federal, state and local laws.
