In-person work on campus is an essential function of this position.

Responsibilities
  • Provide instruction in accordance with the philosophy and objectives of the College.
  • Adhere to the approved course syllabus.
  • Provide students with the course syllabus by the end of the first week of classes.
  • Use teaching methods appropriate to reach students of varying educational experiential backgrounds and learning styles.
  • Allow students to continually assess their progress and provide opportunities to master the objectives of the course.
  • Submit syllabi and/or addendums to the Division Office by the end of the first week of class.
  • Post and maintain office hours as per institutional guidelines.
  • Provide student evaluations of instruction and arrange for submission to the designated office.
  • Participate in faculty orientation sessions, professional development seminars, and activities to enhance professional growth.
  • Accept responsibility for professional awareness and growth and support the community college’s mission to serve the community.
  • Perform all other duties appropriate to this position as assigned or directed.
Required Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree in a related field and a minimum of three years of related experience in Logistics and Supply Chain Management.
  • Experience teaching in the discipline.
  • Experience or ability to incorporate technology into the classroom.
  • Experience or ability to teach at the community college level.
  • Must participate in additional training as required.
  • Must have one year of teaching experience (face‑to‑face and online).
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Must be proficient in Blackboard and MS Teams.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills.
Special Conditions

1. The El Paso Community College is building a pool of part‑time faculty. Faculty are hired in a part‑time capacity on a semester‑by‑semester basis, contingent upon the needs of the District. The pool will be accessed when an opening arises, and the application will remain active for approximately one (1) year from July 2026 to June 2027. After this time, candidates must re‑apply if still interested.

2. This is a security‑sensitive position as defined under the Texas Education Code, Section 51.215; the successful applicant will be required to undergo a criminal background check, as permitted and/or required by applicable law.

3. In accordance with federal law and as a condition of employment, the successful candidate must furnish documentation verifying employment authorization eligibility and identity before being employed.
