The University of Texas at El Paso invites applications for a full‑time Clinical Assistant Professor position in the Department of Kinesiology in the College of Health Sciences. The position is a non‑tenure track, nine‑month academic year role with the possibility of summer teaching. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate students and serve as the department coordinator for student success.

The anticipated appointment date is Fall 2026.

Responsibilities
  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses.
  • Serve as the department coordinator for student success.
  • Develop new community‑based internship experiences.
  • Establish agreements with local sites and communicate with site mentors.
  • Recruit and advise Master of Kinesiology students.
Requirements
  • An earned doctorate in Kinesiology or a closely related field.
  • Strong commitment to and potential for teaching excellence or a record of successful college or university teaching.
  • Potential for, or history of, active service participation and/or leadership roles in campus, community, or professional organizations.
  • Ability to work effectively with faculty, staff, and students from diverse ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience and interest in community engagement and internship coordination.
