- Comply with mandatory reporting requirements under Texas Family Code §261
- Immediately report any injuries, incidents, or suspected abuse/neglect
- Evaluate student participation, effort, skill development, and fitness progress
- Provide feedback to students and communicate progress to administration and families as required
- Maintain accurate and audit-ready records including:
- Attendance (aligned with TEFA requirements)
- Instructional activities and lesson plans
- Follow all documentation and reporting procedures required for TEFA program participation and TAAPS accreditation standards
- Cooperate with audits, compliance reviews, and monitoring activities
- Maintain confidentiality of student records in compliance with FERPA
- Demonstrate professionalism in conduct, communication, and appearance
- Participate in professional development and required training
- Support school programs, events, and extracurricular activities as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Kinesiology, Health Education, or related field (preferred)
- Experience working with children required
- Experience working with students with learning differences strongly preferred
- Ability to design and adapt physical activities for diverse learners
- Strong classroom and behavior management skills
- Ability to motivate and engage students in physical activity
- Commitment to student-centered and inclusive practices
- Must successfully pass background check(s) prior to employment
- Maintain confidentiality of student records in accordance with applicable laws (FERPA principles)
- Part-time schedule determined by school administration
- Hours may vary based on enrollment, student needs, and program scheduling
- Indoor and outdoor physical activity settings
- May include work with students requiring additional support or accommodations
