Salary Range: $60,000-$62,200 Auditory Stipend $6,000 Travel Stipend $1,800 Contract Days: 187 Funding: IDEA, Part B Formula (Continued employment contingent upon funding)
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university
- Valid Texas Certification for Teachers of the Auditory Impairment or eligible for emergency certification
- Valid Texas Certification in the area of Special Education
- Must provide own mode of transportation
- Valid Texas Driver's license

Skills:
- Knowledge of core academic subject assigned
- General knowledge of curriculum and instruction
- Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Primary
Purpose:
Provide positive, responsible and professional special education instructional services to students identified under I.D.E.A. as auditory impaired. Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences to supplement the core academic subject area assigned to meet state standards for individual children deemed most in need, or a school wide approach to improve the overall instructional program.
