School Operations Associate
The School Operations Team is focused on creating the conditions by which our schools can thrive by designing and leading efficient, safe, joyful, and just systems; working to remove obstacles to learning and find creative solutions to challenges to enable the highest level of teaching and learning; and providing best-in-class customer service to families and staff members to ensure they feel welcomed, cared for and a valued member of our community.
The School Operations Associate (SOA) is a school based position that ensures students, families, and staff have the information and resources they need to succeed. The SOA supports the day-to-day operations procedures that allow the school to run efficiently and effectively.
Education/Certification
- High School/GED Required
- Bilingual/English and Spanish Required
Experience
- 1-2 years experience in school administration/front office
Special Knowledge/Skills
- Must be able to communicate effectively with scholars and co-workers, parents and other stakeholders
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Ability to creatively problem-solve in a team atmosphere
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities and Duties
Assists with the implementation of the day-to-day school based operations policies and proceduresImplements the Great 8 procedures such as arrival, dismissal, lunchCaptures all transportation changes from parentsManages school child nutrition program, tracking, and reportingSupports with school based strategies to ensure kids are in seatsSupports application verification calls and updates application system as neededCoordinates with District Director of Operations to implement school enrollment calendar eventsSupports school attendance process and maintenance of attendance recordsMakes daily attendance calls based on guidance from Attendance and PEIMS SpecialistDocuments all attendance changes and corrects attendance dataEnsures clear and effective communications with all community members and stakeholdersEnsures all parent facing materials are readily availableSchedules parent meetings with appropriate team membersManages all phone calls coming into the school and from the Campus ReceptionistsPrepares and sends school specific family communication - school newsletters, event updates, etc.
