Assistant Professor Positions
The IMSE Department invites applications for two full-time, 9-month tenure-track faculty positions at the rank of Assistant Professor, one in Automation and one in Smart Manufacturing, to begin in Fall 2027.
For the Automation position, the department seeks candidates with research and teaching interests in areas including, but not limited to, automation and robotics, human–robot collaboration, industrial automation systems, and mechanical simulation.
For the Smart Manufacturing position, the department seeks candidates with research and teaching interests in areas including, but not limited to, advanced manufacturing technologies, digital manufacturing, Industry 4.0/5.0, AI and data analytics for manufacturing, additive manufacturing, sustainable manufacturing, and intelligent production systems.
