Project Engineer – Water
Location:
El Paso, TX. Garver is seeking a Water/Wastewater Treatment Project Engineer to join our Texas Water team managing significant treatment facility projects.
- Design and manage projects related to Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants.
- Conduct master planning for Water and Wastewater.
- Design Water pump stations, storage facilities, and Wastewater lift stations.
- Coordinate with support disciplines, regulating agencies, and quality assurance.
- Assist the Regional Team Leader with staff mentoring, scheduling, budgeting, and delivery of quality products.
- Set up and attend client meetings, contribute to business development, and represent Garver at industry conferences.
- Lead internal and external workshops and support construction engineering administration (excluding observation).
- Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering from an ABET‑accredited program.
- Minimum 4 years of technical experience in design and construction of municipal water and wastewater facilities.
- Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Texas.
- Experience designing detailed plans and specifications for water and wastewater projects.
- Strong knowledge of engineering principles related to water and wastewater facility projects.
- Basic understanding of multi‑disciplined practices (process, surveying, SUE, geotechnical, structural, mechanical, electrical, instruments & control).
- Basic understanding of water and wastewater pipeline infrastructure systems.
- Strong communication skills and client service orientation.
- Work ethic and proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Teams, Outlook.
- Ability to reach out to existing and new clients for business development.
